2015 New Year's Resolutions

To actually fulfill my New Year's resolutions this year, I've decided to make them pretty and stick them on my refrigerator. That way they just have to get done — obviously I'm very logical.

I'm a believer in New Year's resolutions. Another time to make goals and not stick to them? Heck yes!

But seriously, I love pushing myself to become better, and the New Year is a great time to do a self-evaluation and see what I need to work on. Of course there is a vast array of other things I need to improve, but line upon line, precept upon precept as they say.

If I achieve 75% of these goals, I'll have considered 2015 a success. One of my resolutions is to write on this blog thingie more. Sometimes I have cool experiences and funny moments that would be good to share. And sometimes I just want to bombard the blogosphere with my random ramblings, okay?

Do you have any New Year's resolutions?

Thanksgiving Lip Sync Battle

I know Thanksgiving was lightyears ago, but I just had to share this. My family had a lip sync battle on Thanksgiving night and it was joyous and epic.

Brett and I are at 2:19. Not going to lie, Brett stole the show.

In the last act (4:00 minutes in), my cousins surprised us with an imitation of my notorious Lake Powell dancing. On one of our house boating trips in the late '90s, I displayed my hips-don't-lie moves and my uncle videotaped it. It has since been exploited for the McCloskey clan's enjoyment — and my mild embarrassment. They have the video playing in the background, so you can see how truly sassy I was at seven years old.

This was the first time Brett saw the tape, so that's him wailing "Oh my gosh!"
